Do you know the HAT? This year Interphone was present at the largest international adventouring event with a special team.

3 fantastic riders who have faced dust, curves, off-road trails, night driving and even some small unexpected events.
Together with SasaPlanet, Marco Cappelli and Simone Di Grande, the two riders selected thanks to the contest in collaboration with moto.it and HATseries, warmed up the engines and savored the whole path guided by their passion in the company of our intercoms, to experience the event with maximum fun and maximum safety.

The HAT is a two-day non-stop adventure trip, on mostly dirt mountain roads, following GPS tracks. The bikes allowed are the maxi touring-adventures weighing no less than 150 kg. Without direct confrontation with the stopwatch, the goal is to enjoy the routes, landscapes and natural beauties, in the company of friends with whom to share the same passion.

Our team participated in the Hat Classic, 550 km of route, starting from Sanremo at 10.00 on Saturday and arriving in Sestriere at 12.45 on Sunday.

But now, let's get to know our pilots better ...

Sasaplanet: for Salvatore di Benedetto, travel is definitely bread for his teeth. In 13 years he has traveled the roads of 81 countries on 4 continents for a total of almost 300 thousand km. A passion born at the age of 15 when his father bought him his first Aprilia Rs 50.

Marco Cappelli: a Guzzi rider in the heart of a ktiemist of necessity, in 20 years of motorcycling he has traveled throughout most of Europe, becoming passionate about off-road travel and wild camping. He is one of the admins of the community "the 6% who go on the bike all year" which aims to promote the journey as a discovery and inner growth.

Simone Di Grande: 24 years old and an immense passion for two wheels, so much so that he even made it a job in the historic Moto Guzzi dealership in Parma - Guareschi Moto, where he deals with sales and social media. From his passion for motorcycle travel he created his social page, the motorcyclist on the road, where he shares the itineraries of all motorcyclists.

Federico Maretta, known as “il Marret”, has also joined our magical trio, his passions are two: volleyball which is also his job and the bike.

For some it was the first time, for others not, but the adrenaline of the departure and the mixed emotion of tiredness upon arrival are those beautiful sensations that always seem new.
After the last preparations at the stand, such as the insertion of the track and the pairing of the various Interphones, our boys, after encouraging each other, left Sanremo to arrive in Sestriere between dusty roads, small breaks and a few hours of sleep among the woods.
Upon arrival in Sestriere, the nice step on the podium that makes everyone feel a bit like champions.

If it is true that the HAT is not a competitive race, it is also true that it is a tough competition that requires preparation and experience, completing it is always a personal success and our guys crossed the finish line already on the morning of the 5th.
Then let go of all the accumulated tension and tiredness amidst beer, laughter and a bit of focaccia and exchange your first impressions with the other participants in the event.

Our motorcyclists have traveled 550km always connected with our intercoms, to share directions, unexpected events on the route, jokes and communicate promptly in case of need. An example?

When our Sasaplanet got a puncture or Simone went off the road, thanks to their bluetooth intercoms mounted on the helmets they immediately alerted the rest of the team that he was able to stop, wait and give assistance to the two teammates.
Thanks to their characteristics, our motorcycle communication products are also the perfect accessory for events of this type, not only because they allow the connection between multiple riders, but also for the excellent battery life and waterproofing.

" The technology is advancing, some things have now been accepted with a good degree, others still seem to be tricky sorcerers' trappings. For motorcyclists there are hundreds of superfluous gadgets, but some after using them once become a necessity for both safety and fun. . This is the case with intercoms. In an event like the Hat you realize even more how useful they are; thanks to the mesh technology you don't have to waste time with the synchronization manual, just press a button and the group can talk , even with intercoms of other brands, but with similar technology. If you want to listen to music just ask the voice assistant of the mobile phone to start it; on the iPhone "Hey Siri" without pressing anything even during an intercom connection and the music will go into in the background to the conference. Same thing if we need help, it allows us to make a phone call without taking our hands off the handlebars. yes, we never stopped talking to each other, telling our companions we met a few hours before, strong with the emotions of being there together. We laughed at the mistakes, we were enthusiastic about the passages done well, we were fascinated by the views, we overtook helping us. We communicated and those 20 hours flew by, leaving us with many memories and new friends with whom we can't wait to get back in the saddle soon. " MARCO CAPPELLI

We thank our Interphone Crew for these fantastic days of off-road and two-wheelers ... but we are not ready to put the bike in the garage, we just turn the key to turn it off and prepare it for the next adventure.
