“WE WILL LET YOU KNOW ROADS YOU DID NOT EVEN THINK THERE”.

What are we talking about? Simple, from the 20.000 Pieghe an evocative name that immediately makes you think of the main feature of this fantastic motorcycle event. The 20.000 Pieghe is the most prestigious road motorcycle event in Italy which every year attracts hundreds of motorcyclists ready to tackle the many curves that its routes offer in the company of their bikes.

This year, from 15 to 18 September, we were also present, ready to travel, thanks to Alex di Muzio (Mototravellers) directly from our Interphone Crew, its 1200km of fantastic paved roads meticulously studied by the organization of the event.

The 20.000 Pieghe is not only a motorcycle raid with a final ranking but also a way to discover the beauties of the Italian territories, passing through secondary roads, little trampled paths, to experience a motorcycle ride away from traffic and distractions.
This year the route has been divided into 4 stages, at the end of the last stage the overall winner is awarded, the "Magnificent Folder", whose name year after year is included in the competition's roll of honor.

On the 15th was the day of departure, between the arrival of the participants, the delivery of the registration kit containing the essential roadmap to tackle the journey and the briefing, then we set off for the first 230km to discover the Costa Smeralda.

The tour continues with 315km, routes within northern Sardinia between Badesi and Alghero and then continues with one of the most beautiful and panoramic roads in Italy "the SS 105" which runs along the sea and connects Alghero to Bosa, to finally reach Cala Gonone on the east coast of the island.

It then continues for the third stage, about 300Km, characterized by a fantastic loop all centered on the landscapes of Barbagia, also known for their beautiful roads, perfect to travel on two wheels.

Then, with a bit of melancholy, the last day arrived. 220km that led the participants to reach Olbia through the hinterland and roads surrounded by wild nature, which has always characterized and loved the Sardinian landscapes.

But now let's leave the word to our super correspondent, Alex.

“Having the chance to go to Sardinia on a motorcycle is always like the first time for me, so I couldn't say no to the 20.000 Pieghe. This magical island for motorcyclists is a real paradise, both for off-road lovers, with thousands of kilometers of dirt roads, but also for fans of folds and grips.

In Sardinia we can find wonderful roads with excellent asphalt, which is why it is a very popular destination among European motorcyclists.
If we then add nature, the sea (among the most beautiful in the world), food and hospitality, we find all the prerequisites for a truly unforgettable holiday on two wheels.

The 20.000 Pieghe is a different event from the classic motorcycle tour.
During each stage, participants are asked to participate actively through selfies to be taken in certain areas, special stages to be completed in a certain time and departure and arrival in 10-minute windows, all this allows you to draw up a ranking and make the event very engaging.

But let's talk about my most faithful travel companion, Interphone U-Com16.
Both when I travel alone, and when I travel in a group, I would never do without the intercom again, having the opportunity to communicate and share the moments you are living with your fellow adventurers in my opinion is priceless, not to neglect the discussion safety, more than one occasion has happened where the first of the group signaled us a potential danger for example after a curve, animals on the road side, stones on the roadway, in this having an intercom greatly increases your level of safety on the motorbike . "

Alex has traveled all 1200km with his U-com16, the Interphone motorcycle intercom equipped with Mesh technology which, thanks to its 40mm HD speakers, is equipped with great audio quality. In fact, along the way, music was the faithful travel company, with our new playlists available on Spotify, Alex was able to find the right soundtrack for every curve and for every fantastic panorama he found around him. The warm and enveloping sound combined with the deep bass of our speakers always leaves room for the roar of the engine but creates the right musical background to make you feel the protagonist of every ride on your motorbike.
