CAGIVA ELEFANT

Today we go back to talking about historic motorcycles, because we love technology and look to the future with our motorcycle intercoms and accessories but we are also a little nostalgic. The bikes of the past and the riders who made history always make us dream and we want to remind you of the fantastic Cagiva Elefant.

In the 1980s, the major motorcycle manufacturers churned out models inspired by African racing.
The Elefant, since 1984, the year of its birth, was put on the market in various versions and displacements, from 125 up to 900cc.

Cagiva, after the acquisition of Ducati, launched on the Elefant project, trying to counter the dominance on the market of the various Honda Africa Twin, Yamaha Super Ténéré 750 and Bmw GS and all the single-cylinder engines that were having great success among fans of adventures in motorcycle.

Great prestige came thanks to the victories of the Paris-Dakar in 1990 and 1994 with the great Edi Orioli, the legendary Lucky Explorer coloring, of which a limited series of 1000 copies was produced in 1990, is well-engraved in the memories of fans.

In 1996 it went out of production, have any of you owned this myth of the past? Comment on the dedicated post and share the best memory you have of this bike.
